Frances Carver

    On May 28, the Yorkwood classes of 1951 and 1952 celebrated their 60th anniversary by having dinner at the American Legion, with a good attendance. There were 24 present and only 2 missing.

    Maxine and Charles Hale of Monmouth were recent visitors in the home of Gladys and Jim Free.

    Paul and Barbara Ellesfen of Hanover, Ind. visited Thursday and Friday with JoAnn and Dick Clark.

    Kathleen and Lyle Worthington have been spending time in Rochelle visiting their sons and families. While there the Worthingtons' daughter Kelly and her husband Steve Edson of Alexandria, Va. also visited and they all attended the graduation of Ben from the 8th grade.

    Debra and Jim Darrah attended the "Praise Band" presentation at the Eagles Club on Sunday evening at 5 p.m.

    Carol and Leroy Valentine held a family dinner on Sunday for their nephew Jonathon Valentine of Nashville, Tn., on his way to become a teacher at an Indian Reservation. Present were the Valentines' daughter and husband, Stacy and Andy of Wataga, Leroy's mother, Mary Valentine, Violet and Joel Fleming of Monmouth.

    Suzie Simpson attended the tenth birthday party for her granddaughter Ivy Roden of Alexis on Saturday. Monday she had attended the graduation of Jane Simpson.

    Susan Mills attended a bridal shower on Sunday afternoon for Dawn Prepura at Olivia's Cookie Jar in Monmouth. Dawn and Tony Mills will be married on June 25.

    Mary Ann McCann of Oneida, Helen Jane Nicol and Florence Carver called on Howard Carver in Aledo on Sunday afternoon.
