Donald D. Luker

Donald D. “Luke” Luker, 51, of Alpha died Sunday, July 31, 2011 at home.  Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Viola Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to service.  Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com.

He was born April 5, 1960 in Moline to Donald and Gerene Brewer Luker.  He attended the AlWood schools.  Luke lived in Battle Creek, Mich. for many years where he was employed as a construction worker for Steen Brothers Construction Co.  He enjoyed camping and fishing.

Survivors include a daughter, Dori (Kelly) Mann, a son, Jessie Lee Luker and a granddaugher, Elysa Michelle Mann all of Battle Creek, Mich.; his step-mother, Shirley La Follette of Alpha and 3 uncles: Kerry Luker of Alpha, Leonard (Lois) Brewer of Muscatine, Iowa and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Brewer of Montpelier, Iowa.??His parents and three uncles preceded him in death.
