Kevin Lee Maynard

Kevin Lee Maynard, 49, of Viola died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Mercer County Hospital, Aledo.  Visitation is Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Dennison Funeral Home, Viola.  A private interment will be in Viola Cemetery at a later date.    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.dennisonfuneralhome.com.

Kevin was born February 28, 1962 in Moline to Lois Arlene Maynard.  In high school he was a standout athlete for the Winola Jets.  He worked at General Grind and Machine, Aledo and part-time for Tony VanFleet, Alexis.  Kevin enjoyed auto racing, sports and was an avid Cubs and Bears fan.  He enjoyed camping and going to the cabin in Missouri.

Survivors include his brothers and sister-in-law, Lonnie & Cindy Maynard, Aledo, Kenny Maynard, Milton, FL and Jeff Maynard, Milan; nieces, Kristi Heskett and Hailey Anderson; nephews, Adam, Brice, Cody, Tyler, Tyson and Braylon Maynard and his aunts, Lorraine Pickrel, Woodhull and Mary Maynard, Viola.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
