Pearl L. Gordon, 92, a resident of the Mercer County Nursing Home, Aledo, formerly of Reynolds, died Friday, August 5, 2011 at the home. Services for Pearl will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 801 W. Edgington Street, Reynolds. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Reynolds Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Andalusia Volunteer Ambulance Service.

Pearl was born on July 14, 1919 in Iowa, a daughter of John Fetters and Emma Swartout  Fetters. She married Ivan Gordon on October 11, 1940 in Iowa. He preceded his wife in death on June 23, 1995. Mrs. Gordon was a homemaker. She was a member of the Reynolds United Methodist Church. Pearl enjoyed sewing, gardening, tending to her flowers and playing the organ.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, John (Janet) Anderson, Rio; Helen (Chuck) Lenz, Colona, James (Elgina) Anderson, Woodhull, Marjorie (Gordon) Pape, Illinois City, Diana Smith, Illinois City, John Parchert, Andalusia and Eileen (Steve) Ellsworth, Muscatine; and a host of other family members.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan; sisters, Ora Anderson, Dorothy Parchert and Leah Johnson; nephews, Wayne Anderson and Sheldon Parchert. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.wheelanpressly.com
