Jack L. Sloan, 73, of Bolingbrook, formerly of Aledo, passed away on Nov. 15, 2011, with his family by his side. Services were held Friday, November 18th at McCauley Funeral Chapel in Bolingbrook, with a private cremation following. Jack was born in Aledo, to the late Carroll and Ruth (Wymore) Sloan. He loved life near the Mississippi, fishing along its banks with his grandfather as a boy. Jack was a long-time Bolingbrook resident who had recently moved back to the area. He coached with the Bolingbrook Trojans Football league for six years and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

He was the beloved husband of Ila (Cook) and loving father of Debra (Ron) Shook, Brenda (Mike) King, and Richard (Carey) Sloan. He was the devoted grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of 20. Jack is also survived by his brother, James (Ruth) Sloan. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
