Mercer County Women for Women to meet Feb. 21

Mercer County Women for Women will convene at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Doug's Town & Country Restaurant for their monthly dinner meeting. Hostesses for the evening will be the Fundraising Committee - Melinda Galbreath and Sonia Fell. The speaker will be Chris Brewer, representing the Mercer County Animal Shelter. Members will have three fundraisers that evening - a Bakeless Bake Sale, Loose Change collected over the last six weeks by each member, and a Dollar for a Gift collection. They will cook pork chops at Mercer Market later this spring as their large fund raiser. Their goal is to fund scholarships for Mercer County women and books for two County libraries later this year. All women of Mercer County are welcome to attend meetings and may make reservations for dinner and the meeting by calling Melinda Galbreath at 309-582-0397. Reservations may be made no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17. Cancellations may be made in the same manner.
