Bobby Schilling, Republican candidate for Congress in the 17th District, will be hosting the first "Solutions for the 17th" town hall at Longview Park in Rock Island on Thursday, August 26 at 6pm. Schilling will speak on several topics and then open up for a Q&A session. The event will be held in the large shelter at Longview Park in west Rock Island. Schilling is excited to open the "Solutions for the 17th" town hall tour in a familiar place.

"I grew up in west Rock Island, so it's great to have a town hall on my old stomping grounds," Schilling said. "I'm excited to discuss my vision with the people of Rock Island and hear their concerns. The people of this district have been ignored for long enough. Unlike my opponent, I believe that, in order to be an effective Congressman, you must listen to the voice of the people who elect you. I have pledged to provide constituent services that are second to none, and I look forward to doing town halls throughout my tenure as a Congressman when I am elected November 2nd."

Schilling, a native of Rock Island, graduated from Alleman High School and attended Black Hawk College. Schilling, a local business owner, is the Republican candidate for the 17th Congressional District in Illinois. Bobby is running on a platform of bringing jobs and real representation back to the 17th District. Earlier this year, Schilling conducted a 34-city "Bob's for Jobs" tour, where he met with voters and employers all across the 17th District.
