The Quad Cities tee off service to Arizona
Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT), today inaugurates low-cost, nonstop travel service between Moline/Quad Cities, Ill., and Phoenix-Mesa.
“We are extremely pleased to again expand the Allegiant brand of low-fare, nonstop, jet service in the Quad Cities,” Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company President, said. “This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only low-cost service between Moline/Quad Cities and Arizona.”
“The last time the Quad Cities had service to Phoenix was in 1992, since then we have been working on gaining the service back,” Bruce Carter, Director of Aviation said. “We are pleased Allegiant has selected the Quad Cities for nonstop service to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. The new flights operate twice weekly between the Quad City International Airport (MLI)and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA) with service Thursday and Sunday. Flights depart Moline/Quad Cities at 1:25 p.m. arriving in Phoenix-Mesa at 3:40 p.m. Flights depart Phoenix-Mesa at 8:50 a.m. arriving in Moline/Quad Cities at 12:45 p.m. (all flight times are local). The company began low-cost, nonstop service between Moline/Quad Cities and Las Vegas Oct. 14.
