Trinity’s pastoral care department is offering two ways to ease the pain of those struggling with holiday grief this season.

Those wishing to remember a loved one who has died may write the name of that person on an ornament and hang it on a memorial tree located in any of the chapels or meditation rooms at all three Trinity hospital campuses.

Additionally, all of the chapels have holiday grief packets available that offer helpful advice on working through the loss of a loved one.

“The holidays, which are generally full of many family traditions and memories, can be a painful, fresh reminder of a loved one’s death,” said Chaplain Bob Hansen, director of Trinity’s pastoral care department.  “By offering these ways to help honor their memory and navigate the emotions, Trinity can provide comfort to those who are hurting.”
