The Carl Sandburg College Foundation is pleased to announce the offering of a new scholarship. The Knox County TRIAD scholarship was established in October in the amount of $1,000. It is an annual scholarship that will be awarded to a student, age 60 years and above.  The student can be full- or part-time and enrolled in any CSC credit course with the exception of Community Education classes or College for Seniors classes. The recipient must also have a 2.5 grade point average (GPA).

“We received a grant and decided in return that we would use at least part of it to offer a scholarship,” said Helen Helvick, an eight-year member of Knox County TRIAD. “We wanted to help someone earn their degree.”
