Carl Sandburg College CABI Classes for January - Update
Carl Sandburg College Center for Agriculture, Business and Industry (CABI) is offering the following workshops and courses during January. Classes will be held at the Educational Technology Center in the Sandburg Mall, the Center for Manufacturing Excellence building on the Main Campus or at CSC. Pre-registration is required and early registration is advised. Food Service Sanitation – Full Certification
This course is for food service operators and their supervisory personnel to prepare them for the Illinois State Examination required by law. Areas of study include how to properly prepare food, required sanitation procedures and the requirements which restaurants must fulfill to meet Illinois State Health Codes. Students will take the State Exam at the end of the full 15-hour license course. Workbooks (optional) for the course may be purchased from the Carl Sandburg College Bookstore prior to the first class meeting. Limited to 20 students. Food Service Sanitation – Refresher
This course will update Certified Food Service Sanitation managers on changes in food code and emphasize knowledge in areas of general food safety and preventing food-borne illness. This refresher course fulfills the requirements of the Illinois Department of Public Health for FSSMC license renewal. Limited to 20 students. Call Linda Hankins at (309) 345-3501 to register.
