Sherrard's bid for perfection falls short

With a victory in week nine the Sherrard Tigers football team would finish the season with a perfect 9-0 record. But Walther Lutheran wasn't having anything to do with that Saturday, Oct. 24. Despite finishing 4-5 on the season the Broncos defeated the Tigers 40-12.

Walther Lutheran took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and led 15-6 at the half.

The third quarter doomed the Tigers as the Broncos scored 19 unanswered points on the way to the victory.
