IMCA Modified Madness 50 paying $2,000-to-win

Davenport Speedway continues the racing tradition of big racing events on Memorial Day weekend, with the running of the IMCA Modified Madness 50. The main event of the evening will pay $2,000 to win.

The IMCA Modified Madness 50 will be at the Davenport Speedway Friday, May 25th. The modified feature will be 50-laps, with 20 cars making the main. There will be a $50 entry fee for IMCA Modifieds for the event.

The IMCA Modified division is one of the largest stock car sanctioned classes in the world. In 2010, there were 107 IMCA Modified track champions crowned with an estimated 2,000 drivers competing in the division. The IMCA Modified division competes at twenty racetracks in the state of Iowa alone.

Also racing at Davenport, on May 25, will be IMCA Late Models, Street Stocks, and 4 Stocks, all competing for weekly racing points.

This Friday, May 18, is School’s Out Kid’s Night at Davenport Speedway , with a special appearance by the Midwest Jalopies.

Pit gates at Davenport open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30pm and racing starts at 7pm. The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.

Grandstand admission for the event will be: Adults $15, Teens/Seniors $14, 10 and under free with a paid adult.
