Another busy Friday at Davenport Speedway

This Friday will be another busy night of racing at the Davenport Speedway. In addition to the regular weekly racing program, there will be two make-up features in the IMCA Late Model and Street Stock classes. Friday will also see the final 2012 appearance of the Midwest Jalopies and their vintage racecars.

After this Friday’s racing program, the track will be on a two week hiatus for the annual run of the Mississippi Valley Fair.

The quarter-mile dirt oval will return to stock car racing action on August 10th, with the running of the 4-Stock 50. The 4-Stocks will use a draw/re-draw format, with a $2,000 payday awaiting the winner.

Also racing at Davenport, on August 10th, will be IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, and Street Stocks, all competing for weekly racing points.

Pit gates at Davenport open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30pm and racing starts at 7pm. The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.
