Golden Eagles triumph over Macomb

The Mercer County Golden Eagles wrestling team outlasted Macomb on Tuesday night, its first home meet of the season. Macomb build up a lead of 18-0 before the Golden Eagles got going. The Golden eagles trailed for nearly the entire match. Curtis VanWinkle's decision at 152 pounds tied the match at 33-33 just before the final match. Justin Carey secured the Golden Eagles victory with a pinfall at 2:41.

The Golden Eagles won seven of the 12 contested matches with two double forfeits.

At 170 pounds Dan Freesmeyer (MB) pinned Jake Schuller (MC) in 23 seconds.

At 182 pounds John Annold (MB)pinned Robbie Carey (MC) in 3:21.

At 195 pounds Caleb Whitaker (MB) won by forfeit.

At 220 pounds Bobby Lincoln (MC) pinned Marshall Stewart Hall (MB)

At 285 pounds Quinton Ball (MC) pinned Dalton Mann (MB) in 2:20.

At 106 pounds Kolt Lawyer (MB) pinned Austin Longhhead (MC) in 1:09

At 113 pounds Kal Lawyer (MB) won an 8-6 decision over Drake Stirn (MC)

At 120 pounds Bryce Haddix (MB) pinned Ethan Adolphson (MC) in 1:10.

At 126 pounds Preston Adams (MC) pinned Brady Smith (MB) in 1:35.

At 132 pounds Ashton Klingaman (MC) won by forfeit.

At 138 pounds Maden Tacey (MC) pinned Walley Bloomer (MB) in 3:05.

At 145 pounds there was a double forfeit.

At 152 pounds Curtis VanWinkle (MC) won a 5-3 decision over Steven Huffman (MB)

At 160 pounds Justin Carey (MC) pinned Zach Wilson (MB) in 2:41.
