Quad Cities Youth Shooting Sports Association 2015 Kickoff meeting
The Youth Shooting Sports Association is hosting the 2015 season kick off meeting to discuss their 2015 season and plans. YSSA provides area youth the opportunity to get involved in the exiting disciplines of shotgun shooting in trap, skeet, sporting clays, and 5-stand, pistol shooting in steel target speed shooting, archery in basic bow shooting skills, and air rifle in the basics of rifle shooting. Youth will learn safe shotgun, handgun, rifle, and bow handling techniques through regular practices and competitions.
An informational meeting and sign-up is being held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Bi-State Sportsman’s Association (571 Cleveland Road, Colona, IL 61241). Youth between the ages of 8 and 23 who may be interested in an exciting sport that has few physical boundaries, and where there is a real opportunity to excel, should attend this informational meeting. Adults are also encouraged to attend to learn more about our volunteer coaching staff through YSSA.
Youth Shooting Sports Association believes that it is very important to train the younger generation in safe, ethical uses of firearms. Through our exciting, nationally recognized programs, highly trained and insured coaches, YSSA will guide youth step by step through the fundamentals of safe gun and bow handling, marksmanship, equipment care and cleaning, and the opportunity to compete in nationally accredited amateur competitions.
About the Youth Shooting Sports Association:
YSSA was formed in early 2013 as a 501c3 non-profit, tax exempt, charitable organization.
YSSA offers an array of shooting sports programs including: shotgun, archery, pistol, rifle, and hunting skills, to the youth of the greater Quad Cities area. Participants range in age from 8 to 23.
Our shooting sports programs help to build self-confidence, while instilling adult responsibility and other positive, life skills that help youth develop into respectable people in their communities.
YSSA has been successful in helping a number of youth become local, regional, state, and national champions. We are always in search of donors willing to help with and support our programs. YSSA is also looking for shooting sports enthusiasts willing to join our expert, volunteer instruction and coaching staff. If or athlete, please contact YSSA today!
