Ashley Anderson named to All-CCIW softball team

NAPERVILLE, Ill.— The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin announced its 2015 all-conference softball team

Monday and two members of the Augustana team were recognized. Senior Jenna Teson (Jacobs HS, Algonquin, Ill.) and junior Ashley Anderson (Sherrard HS/ Viola, Ill.) earned second team honors. The Vikings finished 28-14-1 overall and 7-7 in league while earning a second place finish in the CCIW tournament.

Teson earned second team recognition for the second time in her career. The second baseman hit .286 while tallying one homerun, three doubles, and 15 RBI. Teson started every game this past season and ranks third with 128 at-bats and second with 6 stolen bases. She is the currently the single season record of holder of at-bats totaling 159 during the 2014 season.

Anderson, a left-handed pitcher and first baseman, leads the Vikings with strikeouts (51), innings pitched (107.1) and hits (45). She hit a team best .352 while ranking second in doubles (8), RBI (25), at-bats (128) and total bases (53).

Anderson finished with a record of 9-8 and a 3.72 ERA.
