Augustana plans football alumni golf outing for Family Weekend

Augustana football and friends of the program will be able to get together and renew old acquaintances on September 15 when the Vikings host Loras at Ericson Field in the home opener for the 2012 season. Head football coach Rob Cushman and director of athletics Mike Zapolski have announced a full slate of activities, beginning with a golf outing on the morning of the game.

The second annual Augustana Football Alumni & Friends golf outing is set for Saturday, September 15, at the Pinnacle

Country Club in nearby Milan, Illinois. The golf outing is open to all friends of the College, so encourage your colleagues

to join the fun!

The golf outing will be part of the College's annual "Family Weekend" festivities, and participants will have a chance to

meet the coaching staff and football student-athletes while learning more about plans for the Knowlton Outdoor Athletic

Complex. The football team will host Loras in its 2012 home opener at Ericson Field that night at 6 p.m.

Registration for the golf outing will begin at 9 a.m. All participants will be provided with lunch plus the opportunity to utilize

the driving range and putting green. A shotgun start is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. The registration fee of $125 per golfer

includes lunch, access to the driving range/putting green, 18 holes of golf, cart, authentic Augustana football merchandise

and tickets to the football game against Loras.
