Sherrard blanks Ridgewood

The Sherrard Tigers softball team shutout Ridgewood, 4-0 on May 5.

Erica Bowers pitched and got the win for Sherrard.

The Tigers scored in the second inning without recording a hit. Megan Kissner reached base on an error and came around to score. Kayla Tatge also reached base on an error and Bowers was struck by a pitch.

Sherrard scored twice more in the third inning Tarran Shaffer and Ashley Parker hit back to back doubles. Kissner drove in Parker with a single.

Sherrard's final run come on a solo home run in the fifth inning by Parker.

The Tigers improved to 24-4 with the victory.

Sherrard will travel to United Township to play Thursday, May 6 at 4:30 p.m.
