The Orion Chargers defeated Sherrard 28-26 Friday, Sept. 3. The win improved Orion to 1-1 overall while Sherrard fell to 0-2 and left Tiger Coach Brett Lee still looking for his first victory.

A two point conversion was the only thing that separated the two schools.

In the closing minutes Sherrard scored but failed to convert the necessary two-point conversion. The failed conversion attempt cost the Tigers the game.

Orion took a 28-20 lead with 4:20 remaining in the contest but Sherrard bounced right back.

Tiger QB Jake Friichtenicht completed a one-yard pass to Andy Anderson with 1:13 remaining to cut the Tiger deficit to 28-26 prior to the failed conversion attempt.

The Tigers will travel to Rockridge on Sept. 10 and Monmouth-Roseville on Sept. 17
