Tigers top Rockets in straight games

The Sherrard Tigers volleyball team beat Rockridge in straight games Sept. 7, 25-19 and 25-21. Rockridge fell to 5-4 overall with the loss. They are 0-1 in conference play.

Sam Kammerman led the Tigers in kills with 10 while Kayla Tatge added five more. Karlee Rumler had 13 assists for Sherrardwhile Breanna Hamerlinck added five more. Katie Kirwan had one block for the Tigers. Karlee Rumler had seven digs for Sherrard while Paige Calderone and Tatge added six apiece. Tatge and Calderone had three aces apiece.

For the Rockets Caitlin McVay led the way with four kills while Gillian Goodwin added three more. Emily Woods had eight assists. Emily Watkins and McVay each had a block. Chelsea McManus had 10 digs while Gillian Goodwin had nine.

The Rockridge sophomores defeated Sherrard in three games.

The Rockridge freshmen defeated Sherrard in three games 13-25, 25-17 and 15-11.
