The Monmouth College volleyball team ended a 28-year title drought this season and captured their first Midwest Conference championship since the Fighting Scots won back-to-back league crowns in 1981 and ’82.

It wasn’t just one player who carried the Scots to the league title. Five Scots have 200 or more kills, led by sophomore (Rockridge graduate) Chelsey Widdop’s 351. Claire Hermie has been the Scots’ most efficient attacker, hitting at a .279 clip, and junior Kendra Newlon leads the team with 91 blocks.
