Mercer County falls to Fulton, 39-36

The Mercer County girls basketball team fell to 0-4 on the season MOnday with a 39-36 loss to the Fulton Steamers Nov. 29.

Fulton held a 10-8 edge after one period but Mercer County came back to take a 22-16 lead into the locker room at half-time.

The Steamers cut into the Golden Eagle lead in the third quarter but still trailed Mercer County 29-25 heading into the final period.

Fulton made its successful run in the fourth quarter outscoring Mercer County 14-7 to win the game.

Scoring for Mercer County were Miranda Biddle, 14; Bailey Krstic, 10; Heather Harfst, five; Meredith Sloan, three and Sarah Higgins and Emma Downey, two.
