Wethersfield tops Mercer County

The Mercer County Golden Eagles fell to Wethersfield, 65-21 on Dec. 8.

Wethersfield jumped out to a 16-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Wethersfield led 32-6 at the half. Wethersfield went on to outscore Mercer County 31-15 in the second half.

Scoring for Mercer County were: Bailey Krstic, seven; Sarah Higgins, six; Miranda Biddle, four and Taylor Bennett and Emma Downey, two.

Shelby Steger led the Wethersfield Flying Geese with 17 points and Sydney Vincent added 11 more.
