Stark County beats Mercer County

The Stark County Rebels girls basketball team defeated Mercer County 77-15 on Jan. 10. Mercer County fell to 1-15 with the loss. Stark County improved to 17-1 with the victory.

Stark County jumped out to a 15-5 lead in the first quarter and led 32-9 at the half.

The Rebels went on a 25-2 run in the third quarter and outscored the Golden Eagles 45-6 in the second half.

Scoring for Mercer County were: Miranda Biddle, six; Bailey Krstic, five and Briget Anderson and Shannon Clawson, two.

Elizabeth Groter led Stark County in scoring with  16 points.
