Islamowsi's 22 carry Golden Eagles
Spencer Islamowski's 22 points helped the Golden Eagles withstand a hard charging Galva team Tuesday night, Jan. 12. Islamoski hit four three pointers in the contest and was 8-8 from the free throw line in the contest.
Galva took a 12-7 lead in the first quarter and led 23-20 at the half. The Wildcats increased the team's lead to 36-32 at the end of three quarters.
The Golden Eagles took over in the final period outscoring Galva 23-17 for the victory.
Also scoring for Mercer County were: Colton Wood, 13; Tanner Dunn, nine; Dustin Hermanson, seven and Tanner Matlick, four.
Kile Mott and Jake McClintock had 13 points apiece for Galva. The Wildcats were 16-19 from the free throw line as a team.
Mercer County improved to 5-9 with the victory while Galva fell to 2-12.
