Pairings set for Lincoln Trail girls basketball tournament

The brackets are set for the Lincoln Trail Conference girls basketball tournament, with three opening round games tipping Saturday.

Saturday’s games are West Prairie at West Central at 7 p.m., Galva-Williamsfield at ROWVA?at 7 p.m. and Mercer County at Princeville at 7 p.m.

The quarterfinals are Monday with the West Prairie-West Central winner at Annawan at 6 p.m., Ridgewood at United at 7 p.m., the Galva-Williamsfield-ROWVA?winner at Stark County at 7 p.m. and the Mercer County-Princeville winner at Wethersfield at 7 p.m.

Consolation bracket games will be played Wednesday (Jan. 19) and Thursday (Jan. 20).

The semifinals are set for Thursday (Jan. 20) at ROWVA?High School in Oneida. The first semifinal finds the West Prairie or West Central vs. Annawan winner meeting the Ridgewood vs. United winner at 6 p.m., followed by the Galva-Williamsfield or ROWVA vs. Stark County winner playing the Mercer County or Princeville vs. Wethersfield winner at 7:30 p.m.

The tourney concludes Saturday (Jan. 22) in Oneida with the consolation title game at 5 p.m., third-place game at 6:30 p.m. and championship game at 8 p.m.
