Rockridge sweep double header from Illini West

The Rockridge Rockets softball team swept a doubleheader from Illini West May 11 winning the first game 11-0 and the second game 9-7.  The Rockets improved to 15-8 on the year after the outing.

In the first game the Rockets first four hitters reached base and scored. After scoring one run in the second inning Rockridge exploded for six runs in the third inning to put the game away.

In the second game Rockridge jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and tacked on single runs in the second and third inning. They led 8-1 after five innings.

The Chargers rebounded in the sixth inning scoring five runs and trailed only 8-6. But they couldn't sustain the drive to the finish and fell 9-7.
