Fulton Steamers top Golden Eagles

The Fulton Steamers girls basketball team defeated Mercer County Monday night, 56-33 as Fulton improved to 3-2 while Mercer County fell to 1-4.

Fulton jumped out to a 12-5 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They led 25-11 by the half and never trailed in the contest.

Michaela Baker led the Golden Eagles with 12 points while Savannah Frieden chipped in with eight. Also scoring were Emily Lower, six; Bailey Swanson, five and Kim Nelson, two.

Morgan Sanquist and Sam Raab each scored 11 for Fulton.
