The Chicago Bears are making their final preparations as the 2023 NFL Draft rapidly approaches.
There are plenty of options available to fill Chicago's needs, but there's no clear direction as to who the Bears have their sights set on at No. 9 in the opening round.

2022 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: Charles Cross
- Team: Seattle Seahawks
- Position: OT
- College: Mississippi State
- Stats: Played all 17 games his rookie season, had one offensive fumble recovery.
2021 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: Pat Surtain II
- Team: Denver Broncos
- Position: CB
- College: Alabama
- Stats: Surtain has 113 total tackles, 24 passes defensed, 6 interceptions and a touchdown in 33 games. He has one Pro Bowl selection.
2020 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: C.J. Henderson
- Team: Jacksonville Jaguars
- Position: CB
- College: Florida
- Stats: Henderson, who currently plays for the Carolina Panthers, has 127 total tackles, 14 passes defensed and 3 interceptions in 37 games.
2019 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: Ed Oliver
- Team: Buffalo Bills
- Position: DT
- College: Houston
- Stats: Oliver has 133 total tackles, 14.5 sacks, 11 passes defensed and a safety in 62 games.
2018 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: Mike McGlinchey
- Team: San Francisco 49ers
- Position: OT
- College: Notre Dame
- Stats: McGlinchey played in 69 games over five years with San Francisco. He recently moved to the Denver Broncos in free agency.
2017 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: John Ross
- Team: Cincinnati Bengals
- Position: WR
- College: Washington
- Stats: Ross has 957 yards, 62 receptions, 11 receiving touchdowns, nine carries and 41 rushing yards in 37 games. He recently signed a futures deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.
2016 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: Leonard Floyd
- Team: Chicago Bears
- Position: LB
- College: Georgia
- Stats: Floyd has 316 total tackles, 47.5 sacks, 13 passes defensed, 2 interceptions, 2 safeties and a touchdown in 104 games. He was released by the Los Angeles Rams this spring and is currently an unrestricted free agent.
2015 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: Ereck Flowers
- Team: New York Giants
- Position: OT
- College: Miami
- Stats: Flowers started 101 out of 105 games for four different teams over seven seasons. He is currently a free agent.
2014 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: Anthony Barr
- Team: Minnesota Vikings
- Position: OLB
- College: UCLA
- Stats: Barr has 521 total tackles, 18.5 sacks, 32 passes defensed, 5 interceptions and a safety in 112 games. He has been selected to 4 Pro Bowls.

- Team: New York Jets
- Position: CB
- College: Alabama
- Stats: Milliner had 63 total tackles, 19 passes defensed and 3 interceptions in 21 games. Injuries ended his career abruptly in 2015, playing just three years in the NFL.
2012 NFL Draft, No. 9 pick: Luke Kuechly
- Team: Carolina Panthers
- Position: ILB
- College: Boston College
